On 7/22/24 HUD released the CoC Builds Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to add new units of permanent supportive housing (PSH) for individuals and families experiencing homelessness through new construction, acquisition, or rehabilitation. A total of $175,000,000 is available nationwide. Of this amount, $65,000,000 is set-aside for CoCs that are in states with populations of fewer than 2.5 million people. The Montana Continuum of Care Coalition board voted on Monday, July 29 to proceed in applying for funding through the CoC Builds NOFO.
The Montana Continuum of Care Coalition is seeking proposals for construction, acquisition, and rehabilitation funding for new units of Permanent Supportive Housing to assist individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The funding must only be used to assist households with at least one member who meets HUD’s definition of disability.
All projects wishing to apply for funding must review the CoC Builds Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) in its entirety, and the attached summary and instructions to determine if the project meets eligibility requirements.
Projects wishing to apply must submit the New Project Local Application to submit@mtcoc.org by 5pm (MDT) on Friday, August 30, 2024.
There will be an informational Q&A on Wednesday, April 10 @ 1pm via Zoom: email david@mtcoc.org for the meeting link.
